| | sick | ] | For some reason, I haven't been able to shake this...whatever it was that I caught. I'm not hallucinating with a fever anymore, but I'm still coughing/sneezing/feeling cruddy. I have no idea why, I guess this is just one of those bugs that holds on and fights hard. Uhg.
My mom randomly sent me GH Aerosmith, which was quite an awesome surprise. I guess I had mentioned something about wanting it when I was home for the 4th...my mom's awesome. I know a lot of people are complaining about the GH franchise, but honestly, I think it's a fun game. I liked the track listing - it wasn't the greatest, but it was a lot of stuff I hadn't heard before, and there were a lot of non-Aerosmith songs as well. There's a new mode in this one called "precision mode" aka "you'd better be fucking good mode," which is nifty. Overall it was pretty easy - I beat the game without getting less than 4 stars on only about 5 songs, and 5s on the rest, but there's still replay value - you really have to beat it on every difficulty in order to unlock everything. My only real complaint was that for some reason the game seems to be dropping notes a lot - the original GH3 for PS3 had horrible issues with timing, and I found myself getting insanely better scores on the Wii and Xbox versions. They fixed the timing in this version, but for some reason there seems to be a lot of hitting a note and then getting it dropped. Hmmmmmmmm.
Weekend was good - saw Dark Knight, which everyone is raving about, and I'm predicting that Heath Ledger gets an Oscar for his role, because damn.
I still haven't seen Dr. Horrible, just haven't really had time, and I know the site's down but I'm sure it'll still be avaialble somewhere. I really want to find out if it is so called "better than Firefly."
One of the things that's nice about the bay is that the mornings are usually cloudy and cool; I'm looking out the window and the sky is grey! Grey skies in July make me quite happy, though we haven't had any rain yet and we definitely got some last year. Stupid California being in a drought.
I gotta head to class pretty soon - I missed both days last week, so I really need to be there. |

Okay first of all I say now that I hope you get better before I totally forget to say that!
I read what you wrote to deviantart about not being there much. I personally think that it's normal that being long time in deviantart or anywhere else gets bored and then it is that real life which also takes its own time away from deviantart/internet.
I think that internet will always exist, but it seems that people are using less time in internet because it is nothing new. I remember about 10-15 years ago when internet were coming everywhere, it was something everyone must have and spend 18437834763997 seconds of their days in it.
I think it is time to think once again something totally new device... Like... Teleportals... Or ... ... Time machines ... Or medicine which would cure all diseases. Well at least you could use that last thing.
Well I wrote more if you want to have mindless chat about your life, your friends, your world, your space and lets not forget your universe!
"Lick"
Much better than Firefly.
Ahhh, I still need to see it! *pulls out hair*
Jess-- hope you're feeling better!!!!!!
I hope you don't have mono. My sister and my friend both caught it within a month of each other (no, there's no way they made out, I considered that, lol). Don't get the mono bug!!! ahhhh!!!
Also... I know I asked you this once before but I lost the paper I wrote it down on- what camera do you have? Does it have manual focus options where you can actually rotate the dial with your hands or do you have to just press a bunch of buttons? It's a digital camera, right? No film?
I'm feeling better now, although I am still pretty tired, but I have a feeling that's because of finals and a work deadline next week :/. Mono is no fun indeed - I'm pretty sure I don't have it though. I won't make out with strangers anymore, I swear!
I have a Nikon D40x, which is like a little bundle of awesome in a camera. It has autofocus, but you can switch to manual anytime (and the auto is activated by holding down the shutter, so pretty much any picture you take will be in focus). And yup, all digital. Next time I see you I'll bring it with me so you can check it out if you want! | |
